Not so long ago, winter officially came into its own, but we have already managed to get acquainted with the cold, snow and ice. So, we have already written about the cold, snow and their interaction with solar panels, but we did not have time to talk about the interaction with ice. Today we will correct
.
Ice usually doesn't cause problems for solar panels. Because ice is transparent, it doesn't block sunlight and allows the solar panels to continue producing electricity. A problem can occur if ice gets into into the gaps of the solar panels. Since water expands when it freezes, any water that gets into the solar panels can cause damage. Fortunately, solar panels are designed to be waterproof and prevent any damage from ice.
